Class IV-V Trips
Wind River
Sandy River
North Santiam River

There is nothing that compares to the excitement you feel after running a big challenging rapid! Paddle Rafting Class IV and Class V rivers leaves one with a great sense of satisfaction. The teamwork required for these adventures is extraordinary, and so is the reward. On these three incredible river trips we share with you some of the most beautiful scenery and some of the best whitewater in the Northwest. Spring or Fall, sun or rain, these rivers will leave you with a memory of a lifetime!

Wind River; Class IV - V

The Wind River is a spectacular stretch of whitewater! Class IV-V boulder gardens and ledge drops combine with stunning surroundings and a hot springs to make this a memorable day. Only physically fit people with previous rafting experience should participate in this demanding day of whitewater. The action is non-stop throughout the first half of the day as we paddle through boulder gardens with names like Initiation, Rams Horn and Climax! After lunch we get into the "Big Drops" section where we'll run Bridge Rapid, the Flume and the awesome 10-foot drop Fish Ladder Falls. The Wind River equals any class V raft trip and should be on every adrenalin junkies must do list!

We run these trips in March through mid June. Wet suits and paddle jackets are provided as well as a deluxe deli style lunch, shuttle, all boating equipment and our very skilled guides.

Sandy River Gorge; Class IV+

On this demanding class IV+ stretch of river we paddle through a beautiful and isolated gorge only 45 minutes from Portland. Our day is filled with technical paddling and crashing waves; Boulder Drop, Drain Hole, Rasp and Revenue Bridge are the biggest and best of the rapids. In the Sandy Gorge you will find more than just Whitewater! As we float between the rapids we will enjoy the world-class scenery and the unique geology of this special place where the river has cut through old lava flows to create a narrow, twisting chasm.

We run these trips March through mid June. Wet suits and paddle jackets are provided as well as deluxe deli style lunch, the shuttle, all boating equipment and our very skilled guides.
