About Rafting the Clackamas River

Moss laden trees and prehistoric size ferns line the river as you make your way down the incredible Wild and Scenic Clackamas River canyon. Rafting through the middle of this lush old-growth forest, it’s hard to believe you’re only 30 miles from Portland!  During the course of the season fluctuating water levels make the Clackamas River very different from spring to summer. In the spring, with high river flows, the Clackamas River is great for adventurous first time rafters and those with experience.  As the river level drops throughout the summer, it becomes family friendly with kids as young as six joining our trips. Whenever you go, the Clackamas River is perfect for people who enjoy beautiful scenery with an isolated feel, yet appreciate the short drive to get it.
